Descriptions
The Woods Academy, founded in 1975 is an independent, nonprofit, coeducational Catholic school. Located in Bethesda, Md., the school enrolls more than 300 students in prekindergarten through grade eight. Its curriculum includes English, Spanish, French, math, science, social studies, art, music, religious studies, computer technology and physical education. It also offers various sports activities, including soccer, cross-country, basketball, softball, baseball and lacrosse. The school organizes various activities, such as field trips, fund-raisers, student recognition programs, food for the poor, religion classes, chess and science clubs, and theatrical productions. It also offers library, music room, computer laboratory facilities and cafeteria service for its students.
