Located in downtown San Diego, Petco Park is an open-air ballpark that opened in 2004, replacing Jack Murphy/Qualcomm Stadium as the home park of MLB's San Diego Padres. The park was named after the pet supplies retailer Petco, which is based in San Diego and paid for the naming rights until 2026. Petco Park Parking
Arrive early, since traffic and construction can cause delays with parking. Visitors are strongly encouraged to pre-purchase parking online for a discounted rate at a Padres-preferred lot. Petco Parking is handled by Ace Parking Management and lots are located on the west side of the ballpark at 6th Avenue and K Street. On the east side of the ballpark, guests may use the lot at 10th Avenue and Park Boulevard. You can also park across the street at the Convention Center lot for about $10-$15. Other parking lots around downtown range from $5-30 depending how close you park to the ballpark.

The most comfortable seats with the best views at the ballpark come from the premium seating located at Toyota Terrace, Premier Club or the Tower Loft suites. Leave the car at home and take a taxi or an Uber to the ballpark. If not, park at Qualcomm Stadium or Old Town for free and take the trolley. It stops at a short distance from the ballpark. You can also take bus 11 or 929. Stop at Park Blvd & 10th to be at walking distance from the stadium.
