Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine

Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine is a group of board-certified medical professionals that specialize in pediatric and adolescent care. Specialties offered include sports medicine, behavioral disorders such as ADHD, and hematology and oncology.

Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine consists of a team of physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners. The medical physicians include Dr. Jay Freed, Dr. Mitchell Kleinberg, Dr. Michael Nussbaum, Dr. Jason Kronberg, Dr. Jay Iype, Dr. Phyllis Simon-Goldman, Dr. Shelly Zeira and Dr. Bobby Noghrey. All physicians are board certified and members of the Fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

The physicians are supported by Nurse Practitioners Dawn Dawson, Joanne Silva and Lori Lavelle-Jardin, as well as Physician Assistants Barbara Seda, Jeanne Marie Schaeffer, Tina Lafemina, Michelle Welch, Laura McDowell and Danielle D'alleva-Byrne. There is also a Patient Advocate on site to help patients with any technical problems or concerns regarding appointment, referrals and billing.

Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine has locations in Holbrook, Shirley, Port Jefferson, Wading River and Riverhead and is affiliated with several local hospitals, including Stony Brook University Medical Center and St. Charles-Mather Hospital Center.

The Holbrook office is open 365 days per year. All offices are available for school physicals seven days per week and also offer same-day sick appointments. Some of the staff members speak Spanish.
