Descriptions Hawthorne Drug store is a popular mainstay of the Athens community. Its motto is "old-fashioned personal service." The old fashioned includes a soda fountain. The newer personal services include a drive-up window and a cafe within the store. The cafe is called Em's Cafe and serves breakfast and lunch from 7:30am until 3pm on Mondays thru Fridays.
